Plan Your Visit
3600 Chamberlain Lane, Suite 736, Louisville, KY
What to Expect
At Anchor Bible Church, expect to enter into the corporate worship of professing believers in Jesus Christ. Expect to see yourself in the mirror of God’s Word, to have God speak to you through the public reading of Scripture, the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and through the expository preaching of God’s Word. Expect to be led in heart-felt prayer to God, who knows our every thought and deed.
Expect to be greeted, served, and encouraged by unworthy sinners, who have been saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, and who desire above all else to glorify God in all they say and do.
Our Worship Service:
Our worship service begins at 10:00 am. Come early to enjoy coffee, treats, and visits with friendly people. Our services generally begin in singing, followed by prayer and Scripture reading, more singing and then the preaching of God’s Word.
For now, we're located in a business park across from the Kentucky Ford Plant. Look for signs directing you to our meeting place. We have special spaces reserved for visitors right in front of the entrance.
For Your Children:
We have children’s programs for infants through age 8. Prior to the service, you can go to our children’s area, where someone will help you get your children checked into their classrooms. To keep our children safe, we make sure every child receives a tag with their name and check in number on it. You'll also receive a tag with that number, which you'll need to have with you when you pick up your children at the end of the service.
We love having your children in our worship services! It's a great opportunity to train your children in learning to listen to and love the preaching of God’s Word. One way we facilitate that is by encouraging families to stay together in the worship service until the children can be taken to their classrooms by their parents. This usually happens during the announcements portion of the service. Infants and toddlers can be left with our children’s ministry workers prior to the start of the service as well.
For Your Students:
Our youth ministry, called Emmaus, meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Our students love the in-depth teaching in God's Word and the fellowship they enjoy with other students and our exceptional leaders.
Our Prayer Meetings:
We love praying together at Anchor Bible Church, knowing that God loves to hear His children call out to Him in prayer. Join us before the service from 9:30 to 9:50 or on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the foyer.
